Ideas
Say what Signal should build next. Holders vote. Each week the top idea becomes a preview you can try.
Approved previews become plugins. Each one runs in a locked box on its own domain. It can read public data and ask Signal to open a ticket. That is all.
Who can propose
- A Signal account with a chosen @name, at least 14 days old.
- $50 or more put in through Signal, and 5 or more trades on Signal.
- One idea up at a time, one a day. At most 10 ideas are up at once.
Who votes, and how much
- The same bar as proposing: an @name 14+ days old, $50+ put in through Signal and 5+ trades, holding SIGNAL when the vote opened. Echo deposits count.
- Your vote weighs the square root of the SIGNAL you held then. 10,000 SIGNAL weighs 100; 1,000,000 weighs 1,000. No one counts for more than 5% of a vote.
- Holdings are counted when the vote opens, so nobody can buy votes after seeing an idea.
- Signal's own wallets never vote.
From idea to plugin
- Open for 7 days. Holders vote yes or no.
- Every Monday the top idea is built into a preview by Friday.
- 3 days to approve. It passes with 25+ different voters and 60%+ of the vote weight.
- Approved previews go into Plugins.
The one exception
Signal may stop an idea only for safety: one that would move money, touch a wallet or a key, read anyone's private data, or run outside the box. Every stop is posted on the idea with its reason.
What a plugin can never do
- Run on signal.family, see your wallet or session, sign or send anything.
- Its only power: ask Signal to open a ticket. You set the amount and tap, with every safety check running.
